Bernadine Ann (Szazynski) Borai Bernadine was called by her Lord and Savior on February 24, 2021. She was born on April 15, 1940 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Barney and Maryann (Kubcia) Szazynski. She had a brother James Szazynski who along with her parents preceded her in death. She was the loving wife of Thomas A. Borai for over 61 wonderful years. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She is survived by three sons, Robert Borai husband of Laurie of Novi, Michigan. Joseph Borai husband of Kimberly of Lower Providence and James Borai husband of Michele of Upper Providence. She is survived by Grandchildren Christopher Borai husband of Laura of Phoenixville, Dustin Borai of Lower Providence, Timothy Borai husband of Jessica of Virginia Beach, Va. Amiel Borai husband of Corrine of Harleysville. Chloe Borai of Novi, Michigan and Caoilainn Borai of Upper Providence. She is also survived by her Great Grandson Roman Borai of Phoenixville; her step Grandsons Nicholas Gardy and Anthony Forbes and Step Granddaughter’s Tiffany Forbes and Jennifer Unger, and her step Great Grandchildren Austin, Roman, Silas and Phoenix and many nieces and nephews. Bernadine was an exceedingly kind, caring and giving person. In 1987 “Bernie” as she was known was a key member to start the Volunteers in Action and was a charter member for over 30 years at Norristown State Hospital. She was an advocate for many, many patients over those years. In 1995 she received an award from Pennsylvania State Department of Welfare “Volunteer in Excellence” In 2017 she received a 30 year award for her Volunteerism. In the past she was honored with many awards to her credit. Bernie was active with the Toggeries shop, and many other events there. Her biggest joy in life was making others happy. She also was best known as referring to others as “Honey Boy, Honey Girl, Baby Girl and Baby Boy”. She was compassionate to ever person met on this earth. A Mass will be held at Visitation Blessed Virgin Mary Church 196 N. Trooper Rd. Trooper, Pa. 19403 on March 4, 2021 at 11am. Friends may call from 9:45-10:45 at the Church. Burial will be private by the family.
