Bernard J. Bradley Bernard J. Bradley, 91, of Tacony, passed away peacefully at his residence, on Thursday July 30, 2020. Bernard was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 10, 1929, and was the son of the late Bridget (McGill) and James F. Bradley. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (Bodiee) Bradley. He was preceded in death by his loving sister and brothers, Elizabeth Osborne, James F. Bradley, Jr. and William Bradley. Bernard was a former member of St. Leo the Great parish and was a graduate of North Catholic High School, class of 1949. He served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during the Korean War, where he earned the United Nations Service Medal and the Korean Service Medal w/1 Bronze Star. By trade, he was a union plumber and a lifetime member of Local 690. He is survived by his loving children; Sharon Gushue (the late Charles), Kathleen Dempsey (Thomas), Michael (Patricia) and Bernard J., Jr. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. Due to the Covid -19 restrictions and concerns for our guests, there will be a graveside Service only, at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Friday August 21, 2020 at 11 AM, where social distancing will be observed. The cemetery is located at 3301 W. Cheltenham Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19150. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Gift of Life Donor Program. Services have been entrusted to the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home.
