Bernard E. “Bob” Zelenak passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Seasons Hospice in Phoenixville, PA. He was 88. Mr. Zelenak was formerly of King of Prussia, PA. He was a self-employed shoe salesman. Bernard was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church, Upper Merion Senior Center and the VFW Post 7878, all in King of Prussia. He was also an avid runner who ran in many marathons. Bernard was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Born in Beaver Brook, PA on July 14, 1930, he was a son of the late Michael and Anna (Yelenick) Zelenak. He was the husband of the late Rita M. (Guerrieri) Zelenak, who died in 1996. Surviving is his loving family including a daughter, Karenann S. Young and her husband, Rory, of Bridgeport, PA; a son, Michael A. Zelenak and his wife, Robin, of Reinolds, PA; six grandchildren: Mark, Christopher, Emily, Caitlin, Zachary and Austin; two great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Zelenak; and many brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to Bernard’s viewing at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 9 to 10:50 am, with his Prayer Service starting at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
