Bernard M Zinn

December 18, 1923 — August 27, 2021

Bernard M. Zinn (Bernie) passed away peacefully on August 27, 2021, in Wynnewood, PA. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Elaine (nee Weiner); his children, Randy (Trish), Kerry (Judith), Mindi (Roberto), and Eric (Maddie); 9 grandchildren Toby, Nyssa, Ethan, Martin, Felix, Paulina, Mac, Nolan, and Emma; and 4 great-grandchildren Eleanor, Henry, Ravi and Noe. Bernie was the last of the Zinn brothers, born in Brooklyn to the late Jennie and Eddie Zinn. Bernie served in the army in World War II and lived all over Europe and the U.S. He spoke many languages, but hated talking on the phone. He was an entertainer with a beautiful singing voice who performed in many off-Broadway shows. He especially loved old movies and soft jazz music. Bernie enjoyed travelling, walking on the beach, boating, and fishing. He was an avid reader and excellent speller who devoured crossword puzzles and milk chocolate in equal amounts. He lived to 97 years despite never eating vegetables (unless they were in salad). Due to social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, no funeral or service is planned. The family will notify loved ones when a celebration of life is scheduled.
