Bertha Rowan

Bertha Pelka Rowan passed away on October 22, 2024 in Trooper, PA at the age of 88. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years, Francis A. Rowan; 3 children, Francis “Frank” (Jennifer) of Birdsboro, Judy Rowan of Trooper, Rosemarie Hatton (Marc) of Philadelphia; and her sister, Theresa Granieri. “Babci” is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, Lynne Rowan, Kayleigh Matook, Melissa Dewalt, and Jason Hatton and 2 great-grandchildren, Adelaide and Holden Matook.

Bertha was born on May 10, 1936 in Pennsylvania to the late Stanley and Bertha Pelka, and remained a resident of the greater Philadelphia area her entire life. She and Francis enjoyed traveling to explore the United States and beyond, often bringing their children and grandchildren along for the ride. Bertha was well known for her love of whipped cream, chocolate and her family.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Monday, October 28, 2024, from 9:45 am – 10:45 am at Visitation BVM Lower Church, 196 N. Trooper Rd, Eagleville, Pa 19403 followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am. Interment will be held at Westminster Cemetery 701 Belmont Ave, Bala Cynwyd, Pa 19004.
