Bertrand R. Lavoie

Bertrand (Bert) Lavorie 96, husband of the late Muriel A. Lavoie died Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Walnut Woods, Boyertown.  Born in Manchester, NH on April 25, 1917, the son of the late Louis and Medora Lavoie.  He is survived by his two sons. Bert Jr. (Harriet) of Collegeville, PA and Bruce (Janet) of Allentown, PA; 3 granddaughters, Terri Valinote of Gilbertsville, PA Tracey Robinson of Schwenksville, PA and Michele Stawawczyk of Pittsburgh, PA; and 7 great grandchildren.  Bert is a life member of the Lower Providence Fire Co. and a life member of the Montgomery County Fire Police.  He was an Electrician by trade and a 65 year member of the IBEW.  After his retirement he moved to Texas and helped to build 8 Habitat for Humanity Homes and wired all of them by himself.  He moved to Walnut Woods retirement home in Boyertown in 2005. Funeral services will be held at Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home, 101 N. Park Ave. Norristown (Rt. 363 Trooper) Pa 11 AM Monday, October 21. 2013 and a viewing will be from 10 to 11 AM.  Burial will follow in Limerick Garden of Memories.
