Betty Jean (Thompson) Bashaw

Betty Jean (Thompson) Bashaw passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at her residence in King of Prussia, PA. She was 77. Mrs. Bashaw worked as a bookkeeper for Ikon Office Solutions in Malvern, PA. She attended business school in Syracuse, NY, where she took secretarial courses. Betty was a member of the Upper Merion Women's Club and the King of Prussia Senior Citizens Club. Born in Ogdensburg, NY on June 16, 1936, and raised in Brasher Falls, NY, she was a daughter of the late Clyde B. Thompson, Sr. and Augusta I. (Eldridge) Thompson. Surviving is her loving family including a son, Steven L. Bashaw and his wife, Loretta, of West Chester, PA; two daughters, Deborah L. Shaw of Scottsdale, AZ and Christa A. Hill of King of Prussia, PA; a granddaughter, Alexis Marie Hill; a brother, Wayne Thompson and his wife, Dorothy, of Bainbridge, NY; and 1 nephew and 2 nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde B. Thompson, Jr.Betty's Memorial Service will be held at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 7:00 pm.
