Betty N. (Nace) Galbraith passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Seasons Hospice Unit in Phoenixville Hospital in Phoenixville, PA. She was 97. Mrs. Galbraith was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. Born in Lewistown, PA on October 4, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Liddick) Nace. During certain times, if someone was needed at the schools to help as the school nurse, Betty would gladly volunteer. Her time at home was always busy with raising flowers and plants from seed for planting in the Spring. An avid homemaker, she would sew her own draperies, clothing, and quilts. Outside the home, Betty was involved with church groups including Meals on Wheels. Betty was also a member of various Bible Studies and Literary Groups. She had an exceptional “green thumb” when it came to gardening, and enjoyed traveling. Most of all, Betty loved her family and was devoted to her husband and son. Surviving is her loving family including her husband of 62 years, James R. “Jim” Galbraith; a son, James A. Galbraith and his wife, Catherine, of Lake Oswego, OR; 2 grandsons, Ian and Colin; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Nace, and her in-laws, Walter and Rose Galbraith. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Betty’s viewing at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 10:30am to 11:30am, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:30am. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s memory to the Salvation Army, 533 Swede Street, Norristown, PA 19401. Condolences at www.bacchifh.com
