Beverly Jean Kratz

Beverly Jean (Dewhurst) Kratz passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Markley Rehab in Norristown, PA. She was 86. Mrs. Kratz was a resident of Norristown. She was a registered nurse working in the maternity ward at Montgomery Hospital for most of her career. Upon retiring, she volunteered with Meals on Wheels for 18 years. Beverly was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Norristown. Born in Buffalo, New York on November 28, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Van Dean Dewhurst and Doris (Wallin) Dewhurst; and the wife of the late Richard Alan Kratz, who died in 2019. Surviving is her loving family including three sons: Mark (Robyn) Kratz, Thomas Dean (Debbie) Kratz and Bruce (Karen) Kratz; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Dewhurst. Funeral services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Beverly’s memory to Meals on Wheels of Montgomery County, 536 George St., Norristown, PA 19404-0311.
