Blanche H. Polk

Blanche H. Polk Mrs. Blanche H. (nee Nanartowicz)  Polk, 87, of 6535 Ditman St. Phila., PA passed away Friday, November 2nd, 2012 at Renown Medical Center, Reno, Nevada. She is formerly of Shenandoah, PA until her marriage  in 1946. Mrs. Polk was born in Shenandoah, PA on April 12, 1925, the daughter of the late John and Eliza (Grodecki) Nanartowicz. She worked as a shipper at UPS until retiring in 1985. She is a long time member of William D. Oxley Unit 133 A.L. Auxiliary and a member of St. Leo Seniors. She was a member of St. Leo the Great Church Philadelphia, PA.   She was the widow of George W. Polk. They were married in 1946 and were married for 58 years until he passed away in 2004. She is the loving Mother of Barbara Ann Fijalkowski (Ronald) of Pitman, NJ and   the late, Lt. George A. Polk. Family will receive Relatives & Friends on Saturday November 17, 2012 from 10-11 AM and her Religious Service will be at 11 AM at the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home, 6643-45 Torresdale Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19135. Her Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, PA.
