Brigitte Van Swelm

Brigitte Van Swelm, 81, of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Arden Courts in King of Prussia.

Born in Germany on January 29, 1945, Brigitte came to the United States as an au pair. She later worked in the restaurant industry for many years until her retirement. Brigitte had a deep love for animals and treasured the many friendships she made throughout her life.

Brigitte is survived by her sister, Karen; her niece and nephew; her three beloved cats; and many dear friends whom she considered family. She also leaves behind her closest friend and devoted caregiver, Elizabeth Villegas, whose love, friendship, and support meant so much to her.

Brigitte’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb Street, Bridgeport, Pennsylvania, on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 12:00 noon until 12:50 p.m. A prayer service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will follow at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens in King of Prussia.
