Carl S. Bacchi

Carl S. Bacchi passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 6, 2015, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. He was 81. Mr. Bacchi was a resident of Audubon, PA. He worked as a forklift operator for the former Thriftway & Fleming Foods in Oaks, PA. Carl was a graduate of Norristown High School, Class of 1953. He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Church in Audubon, PA. Carl enjoyed going to car shows and playing the ponies at the Valley Forge Turf Club. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Carl was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, stationed in Alaska. Born in Norristown, PA on August 6, 1934, he was a son of the late Russell and Mary (Bermis) Bacchi. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 55 years, Lois (Farrell) Bacchi; two sons, Ronald Bacchi of Eagleville, PA and Robert Bacchi and his fiancée, Karen, of Audubon, PA; a daughter, Barbara Bacchi (Shawn) of Pottstown, PA; three grand-children: Brooke R. Rigby and her husband, DJ, Alicia E. Bacchi and Erica L. Purr; four great-grandchildren: Ethan, Olivia, Jonathan and Matthew; two brothers-in-law, Jack Farrell of Jeffersonville, PA and Bill Farrell and his wife, Janet, of Skippack, PA; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Rita Farrell. Relatives & friends are invited to Carl’s Funeral Mass at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1260 S. Trooper Rd., Audubon, PA on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 10:00 am. His viewings are Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm, at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA and Saturday morning from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carl’s memory to the American Heart Association, 5455 N.
