Carlos R Lombrana

November 14, 1962 — March 6, 2019

Carlos Ruiz Lombrana, 57, of Norristown passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 7, 2019, at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery with his loving wife and family by his side. Carlos was the devoted husband and soul mate of Diane McDonald with whom he had shared 10 years of marriage and 19 years of togetherness. Born in Rocksprings, Texas, he was the son of Dora Salas and the late Carlos Lombrana Jr. Carlos attended Lawton High School in Oklahoma. He was a self-employed carpenter, a job he loved. Although he enjoyed traveling the states in the RV, Carlos was also a homebody, just as content to snuggle up for family movie night. He and Diane loved spending time with the kids, camping, and working in the yard. Carlos was a committed King of Avalon player, an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and a budding conservationist. He was known for his humble spirit, soft heart, firm opinions, endless sarcasm, and unique sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his wife and three children, Carlos (29), Samora (9), and Cruz (7), Carlos is survived by his grandmother, Josepha Ruiz; his mother; his step-father, Cruz Estrada; his brothers and sisters, Jimmy Lombrana, Brenda Kielwasser (Warner), Dora Krumenaker (Dan), Belinda Villafranca (formerly Tamayo), Michael Salas (Sherry), and J.R. Salas. Additionally, he leaves behind his two grandsons, Carnell and Izaiah; a slew of nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews, and two brothers from different mothers: Henry (Chip) Newman and James (Gopher) Nelson. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Pitacio Lombrana. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Carlos’ life on Saturday, March 9, 2019, from 2:00 – 5:00 at Jeffersonville Golf Club, 2400 W Main St, Norristown, PA 19403. Cremation conducted through Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home.
