Carmela Rubert

Carmela (Carfagno) Rubert passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at her son’s residence in Green Lane, PA. She was 93. Mrs. Rubert worked as a telephone operator for the Bell Telephone Company in Norristown, PA. She was a member of Visitation BVM Church in Trooper, PA. Carmela was also a member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers, Visitation Seniors and the Facenda Bowling League. Born in Bridgeport, PA on November 8, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Mary (Centanni) Carfagno; and the wife of the late Joseph Rubert, Sr. surviving is her loving family including a son, Ralph Rubert and his wife, Debbie, of Green Lane, PA; and 2 grand-daughters, Ashley and Kayla. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Rubert, Jr.; brother, Pasquale Carfagno; and sisters: Angeline Gounley, Mary Piacictelly, Janet Capaldo, and Sr. Pearl Carfagno. Funeral services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carmela’s memory to the Montgomery County SPCA, 19 E.
