Carmella Desanto

Carmella “Cora” DeSanto (nee Borzelleca) passed away peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2021 at ManorCare in King of Prussia, PA. She was 95. Mrs. DeSanto was formerly a resident of Bridgeport, PA and was a member at the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport. She worked in assembly for Philco Ford in Lansdale and then Extracorporeal in King of Prussia, PA. Carmella really enjoyed cooking and baking. She truly loved hosting people and never ever let them go hungry. She was an extremely generous person. Carmella was born in Norristown, PA on July 16, 1925 to the late Anthony and Anna (Tedino) Borzelleca. She was the beloved wife of the late Carmen M. DeSanto, who passed away in 2009. Surviving is her loving family including her son, Carmen A. DeSanto and his wife, Theresa, of Bridgeport, PA; her daughter, Suzanne Woodward and her husband, Douglas, of Audubon, PA; 4 grandchildren, Carmen, Jr. (Lynda), Kelley (Mike), Christopher (Desiree), and Zachary; 6 great grandchildren, Jared, Nicholas, Brandon, Vethan, Christopher, Jr., and Khema; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald DeSanto; granddaughter, Heather Woodward; brother, Stanley; and 3 sisters, Eugenia, Elizabeth, and Sara. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Carmella’s viewing on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 6-8 pm at the Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St. Bridgeport, PA 19405. Her Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1260 S. Trooper Rd. Audubon, PA 19403.
