Carmella C. (Cipriano) Jacobs

Carmella C. (Cipriano) Jacobs passed away peacefully on Monday, January 17, 2011 at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. She was 88. Mrs. Jacobs was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. She worked as a sales manager for Gimbels Department Store in King of Prussia, PA. Carmella was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA. She was a seamstress who enjoyed needlepoint and cooking. Carmella also loved playing bingo and cards with her special lady friends. Born in Norristown, PA on September 14, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Assunta (Ingenito) Cipriano. She was the wife of the late Arnold Jacobs, who died in 1998.Surviving are her loving family including six nephews: James E. & Rosemarie Cipriano of W. Norriton, PA, Paul C. Cipriano, Jr., Esq. of Bridgeport, PA, Dr. Joseph Cipriano of W. Norriton, PA, Charles and Syndi Cipriano of Moosup, CT, Anthony & Rita Cipriano of Souderton, PA and Gregory Cipriano fo San Diego, CA; and many great-nephews and nieces.She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dr. Paul Cipriano and Anthony Cipriano. Relatives & friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 10:00am. Carmella's viewing will be Friday morning from 9 to 9:50am, at the church. Interment in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carmella's memory to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405.
