Carol Ann Simkanin

Carol Ann Simkanin age 62 of Hatboro, formerly of Norristown passed away peacefully on March 6, 2023 at RHA Health Services.

Carol was born on November 12, 1960 to the late Joseph and Anna (nee Witowich) Simkanin of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Carol was a part of the Growth Horizon/RHA Health Services family for 20+ years. She resided at Terwood House under the late Joe Murray and Judy Dyjak. Where she became housemates with Esther Green and the two have been housemates for years when they moved to Summit House.

Carol continued to flourish while at Summit. Under Fatima El, Bernadette Byrd, Yolande St Juste, Deniesha Mapp, Lynette Jones and Joyce Moss.

Carol enjoyed reading (with staff and Chris Trotter her Peer Counselor), coloring, shopping, eating out at restaurants her favorite was Burger King. Her favorite television shows were: Martin, Charmed, House of Payne, Horror Movies and anything with Madea in it.

Carol attended Milestone Community Healthcare Deaf Services on Easton Road where she met and fell in love with her boyfriend Joe a match made in heaven.

Carol was employed for many years at DEC Developmental Enterprises Corporation in Norristown, PA.

Carol leaves to cherish her loving memory: her housemate Esther, boyfriend Joe, Fatima, Bernadette, Yolande, Crystal, Joann, Elisa and Stephanie.

And a very special thank you to the staff at Pecan Drive.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 10 to 11 am Tuesday, March 14, 2023 followed by a funeral services 11 am at Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home, 101 N. Park Ave. Eagleville, Pa 19403.  Interment will follow at SS Peter and Paul Ukranian Cemetery, King of Prussia, Pa.
