Caroline Anne Murray

Caroline Anne (Hickey) Murray, known to many as “Chutchy” & “Mommom”, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Community Hospice Center in Jacksonville, FL. She was 77 years old. Caroline was a longtime resident of Bridgeport, PA but also recently resided in Florida for part of the year. She was a former member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Norristown, PA. Caroline worked for many years as a county clerk for the Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds. She was an avid sports fan, especially for her beloved Eagles and Phillies. Caroline had a condo at The Commodore in North Wildwood, NJ, which was her happy place that she loved being at the most. There she was surrounded by many friends who became her shore family.

Born in Norristown, PA on February 17, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary J. (McQuaid) Hickey. She was also the beloved wife of William T. Murray, III, who passed away in 1999.

Caroline is survived by her loving family including 4 children, Danielle Loyd (Tim), Scott Murray, Michelle Richart, and Michael Murray; her sister, Joanne Deal; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Spitko; and her brother, Robert Hickey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Caroline’s viewing on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St. Bridgeport, PA 19405 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 am. Prayer service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. To honor Caroline’s love of Philadelphia sports, the family kindly requests that you come to her services dressed in your favorite Eagles or Phillies gear.
