Catherine T. Durkin

Catherine T. Durkin, 89 of Warminster, formerly of Jenkintown passed away peacefully while in the company of family members. On Sunday, October 16, 2016 at her residence. She was the Beloved wife for 64 years of John T. Durkin who predeceased her in 2011. Catherine was born in Abington, PA, on September 29, 1927 a daughter of the late Margaret (Marple) and James M. Doheny. She was the mother of the late Kathleen ‘Kate’ Lutz, grandmother of the late Jake and dear sister of the late Margaret Melnick, James M. Doheny, Jr. and Marie E. Doheny. Catherine was an active member of St. John Bosco Church in Warminster. She is survived by her three sons Jack Jr., husband of Midge, Michael and Dennis, husband of Laurie. Catherine is also survived by her Godson the Rev. William D. Melnick; her grandchildren: Kimberly, Michael, Deirdre, Matthew, Molly, Patrick, Jimmy, Luke, and Great Grandchildren Liam, Jackson, Nolan, Katie and TJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Immaculate Conception BVM Church 602 West Ave. in Jenkintown, PA with Rev. William D. Melnick officiating. Family will receive relatives and friends at Immaculate Conception BVM Church prior to the mass from 9:30 to 10:20 AM. Her Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
