Catherine F. Sawyer Mrs. Catherine F. Sawyer, 89, of  Philadelphia  passed away at 10:52 AM, Sunday, July 25th, 2010 while in the company of family members  at Vitas Hospice - Nazareth Hospital, Phila, PA. Mrs. Sawyer was born in Phila., PA on March 21, 1921, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Tallis) Elliff. She was the wife of William  Sawyer for 64 years She was a member of St. Bernard Church.   Loving Mother of William (Pamela), Thomas (Joanne), Gary and Kathleen Scamardi (Michael).  Devoted Grandmother of William (Jennifer), James (Gissel), Karen Loftus (Robert), Susan Mazzeo (Mark), Daniel, Dana Scamardi, Eric Scamardi and the late Thomas.  Great Grandmother of Kate, Anna, RJ, Vicki, Madeline, Vivian and Max.  Twin sister of the late Dorothy Kelble Relatives and Friends are invited to her viewing Wednesday 7-9 PM   and Thursday 8:30 - 9:30 AM   at the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home 6643-45 Torresdale Ave. Phila., PA 19135.   A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bernard Church Thursday 10 AM.  Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers Donations in her memory to F.O.P.
