Cecelia C. Carlin

Cecelia C. Carlin 'Sissy', age 60, of Willow Grove, PA formerly of Ardsley passed suddenly on September 10, 2019. She was a wonderful person: a kind and gentle spirit, and always ready with a smile, or her memorable laugh. She was a daughter, a sister, a mother, a grandmother, an aunt, a partner, a friend, a colleague, a teacher, and a leader. Cecelia was born on March 1, 1959, daughter of the late Marie H. (Hutter) and Cornelius J. Carlin. Sister of the late Neil, Tommy, Danny, and David, and partner of the late Edward Horvay. Beloved mother of Elise Carlin (Matthew Payne). Devoted grandmother to Leah, Evan, and Daniella. She delighted in her grandchildren. Beloved sister of Gerald Carlin (Denise), Ave Mulhern (Joe), and Jane Brogan (Mike) and sister-in-law Linda Carlin. Cecelia is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved and respected by her coworkers from Wood Services. Cecelia was a 1977 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School. She was a Registered Dietician, and earned her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition from Drexel University in 1984, and her Masters Degree in Biochemistry from Drexel University in 2002. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 9-9:45 AM followed by her funeral mass at 10 AM both at Queen of Peace Church, 820 North Hills Ave. Ardsley, PA 19038. Her interment will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
