Charles Cho Lim Ang

Charles Cho Lim Ang, age 98, of Elkins Park, PA, departed this life peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of his cherished family.

Born in Fuzhou, Fujian, China on August 4, 1927, Charles’ life was marked by resilience, vision, and accomplishment. He graduated from Lehigh University with a master’s degree in civil engineering, launching a distinguished career as an engineer, business owner, innovator, and mentor to many. He worked on the design and construction of such notable projects as the Jim Thorpe Memorial Bridge (Modjeski and Masters), the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge (Ammann & Whitney), the Philadelphia Windsor Hotel (Dorfman and Bloom), Thomas Jefferson University’s clinical teaching hospital (D’Ambly), and Drexel University’s Daskalakis Athletic Center, in addition to other school, airport terminal, bridge, building, train station, and sports stadium projects.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Loraine (nee Gotuaco) Ang, his devoted son, Charles G. Ang, and from his first marriage, daughters Veronica Ang and Eileen Yuen (nee Ang, married to Stanley Yuen), granddaughters Elyssa Yuen (married to Yousef Khadar) and Arianna Yuen, and great-granddaughter Luladay Yuen-Khadar, and a loving circle of family members whose lives he profoundly touched. His legacy endures in the strength and unity of his family and the example he set for all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Friday, January 30th from 9:15 to 10:15 AM, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 AM, both held at Immaculate Conception BVM Church, 604 West Ave., Jenkintown, PA.

A private graveside service will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception BVM Church, honoring Charles’ lifelong faith and generous spirit.
