Charles Francis Bloemker

Charles F. “Chuck” Bloemker passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Sunrise of Lafayette Hill in Lafayette Hill, PA. He was 84. Mr. Bloemker was a resident of King of Prussia, PA with his wife, Anne, for over 50 years. He was a former Philadelphia Police Officer. Chuck, a devout Catholic, was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia. Chuck enjoyed Frank Sinatra, the Philadelphia Phillies and most of all, spending time with his family and neighbors. Chuck was a US Marine Corps combat veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the Marine Corps Silent Drill Team at 8th & I in Washington, DC. Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 27, 1931, he was a son of the late Charles Louis Bloemker and Marie (Gillan) Bloemker. He was the husband of the late Anne T. (Ziegler) Bloemker, who died in 2014. Surviving is his family including 4 sons: Charles F. Bloemker, Jr. of San Diego, CA, Chris (Linda) Bloemker of King of Prussia, PA, Joseph (Karen) Bloemker of Pottstown, PA and Jeff Bloemker of Decatur, GA; a daughter, Carol (Patrick Joseph) Neher of Alexandria, VA; 11 grandchildren: Brandon, Kiersten, Devin, Christopher Jason, Jackie, Jamie, Mason, Brandon, Daniel, Rachel and Jackson; 2 sisters, Catherine Lyons, formerly of Philadelphia, PA and Marie Barber of Downingtown, PA; and many other loving family members. Chuck’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 10:00 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Martin T. Cioppi, Pastor. The family will receive relatives & friends on Saturday from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church. Entombment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery Mausoleum, King of Prussia, PA.
