Charles V. 'Charlie' Flynn

Charles V. "Charlie" Flynn Sr. passed away peacefully on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Meadows at Shannondell in Lower Providence Twp., PA. He was 82. Mr. Flynn was a resident of Jeffersonville, PA and was formerly of Bridgeport, PA and Schuylkill Haven, PA. He retired as a truck mechanic from the James D. Morrissey Company. Born in Lebanon, PA on October 31, 1931, he was a son of the late Charles M. and Gertrude S. (Kramer) Flynn. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 62 years, June E. (Palmer) Flynn; 2 sons, Charles V. Flynn, Jr. of Jeffersonville, PA and John H. Flynn and his wife, Judy, of Nestorville, WV; 3 daughters: Colleen McNelis and her husband, Robert, of Bridgeport, PA, Cathleen T. Karmiller and her husband, Steven, of Franklin, TN and Elizabeth A. Firrincieli and her husband, John, of Collegeville, PA; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 5 sisters.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Goodwill Fire Co., 304 Bush St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 and/or the Boy Scouts of America, Cradle of Liberty Council, 1485 Valley Forge Road, Wayne, PA 19087.
