Charles L. Horst, Jr.

Charles L. (“Chuck”) Horst of West Norriton, PA, died on July 13, 2023. He was born in Norristown on January 5, 1938. Charles was the only son of Charles L. Sr. and Philomena Horst (nee Perseo).

Charles graduated from Norristown High School in 1955. Charles went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy and as a reservist at the Willow Grove Naval Base. He worked as the plant manager at Nicolet Inc. in Norristown. He later worked as a salesman in the industrial gas industry. He is remembered as a wonderful father, Pop, brother, uncle and friend.

Charles is survived by his son, Charles Horst (Eileen), and daughter, Susan Greaux (Michel); along with four grandchildren, Kevin Horst, Megan Horst, Nicole Greaux, and Rachel Greaux; brother to Loretta Molt; and loving companion of Dolores (“Dee”) Pettit. He is also survived by his former wife, Trudy Horst.

Charles enjoyed spending time with his family. His interests included watching the Phillies, car racing, trying new restaurants and countless cruises in his lifetime.

Friends are invited to pay their respects on July 19, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Buttonwood and Marshall Streets, Norristown, PA 19401, from 10:00-10:50 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 AM. His Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
