Charles F. Palmer, Jr.

Charles F. Palmer Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, surrounded by his loving family at University Medical Center of Princeton in Plainsboro, NJ. He was 78. Mr. Palmer was a resident of Cranbury, NJ and was formerly of King of Prussia, PA. He worked as the treasurer for Elliott & Frantz, Inc. in King of Prussia, PA. Charles was a former member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA. A loving family man, Charles was active in the Upper Merion Baseball Association and King of Prussia Indians Football, serving as treasurer and coach for both organizations. Charles was US Marine Corp veteran. Born in Upper Moreland Twp., PA on January 11, 1934, he was a son of the late Charles F. Palmer Sr. and Marion (Frame) Palmer. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 57 years, Marian M. (McMenamin) Palmer; three sons: Stephen C. Palmer of Little River, SC, Lawrence A. Palmer of King of Prussia, PA and Gregory F. Palmer of Ocean City, NJ; two daughters, Eileen M. Palmer of Cranbury, NJ and Sharon P. Gamble and her husband, Thomas, of Collegeville, PA; seven grandchildren: Jason and his wife, Jessica, Ryan, Eric, Caitlin, Lindsey, Jacob & Emma; 2 great-grandsons, Tyson & Connor; and a sister, Isabelle P. Woehr of Texas. Relatives & friends are invited to Charles' Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Monday, November 12, 2012 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Martin T. Cioppi, Pastor. His viewing will be on Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:50 am, at the church.
