Charles Elmon Sharpe , age 74, went home to be with the LORD at 2:10 AM on December 24, 2016, at the Einstein Medical Center in East Norriton, Pa. Charles was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 9, 1942, to the late Elmon B. and Mildred P. (McCoach) Sharpe. On April 6, 1968, he married Patricia A. Bartels in Philadelphia who survives him after 48 years of marriage and resides in Trooper, Pa. Also surviving is his daughter, Tamara Sharpe of Skippack, Pa., along with three grandchildren; Colin and Charlie Dewane and Mia Feliciani all of Skippack, Pa; a surviving sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Donald Shepp and a brother William J. Sharpe of Delaware, a sister Mildred Dugan; as well as a sister and brother-in-law Linda and Anthony Mangino all of Pennsylvania.Charlie was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His family meant everything to him. He was a member of Cornerstone Church of Skippack for the past eight years, where he served as a Deacon, usher and member of the Missions Committee, as well as many other areas of ministry. He had a deep passion for serving the LORD and his people, and anyone else who had a need. He was a self-employed home maintenance man who could fix most anything. Recently, he loved working at Bradford Woodworking part-time continuing to learn new skills and applying his life-experience to carpentry. We know Charlie has received a rich welcome in Heaven where many loved ones and dear friends were waiting for him. Mostly, we know that God who has numbered our days has called him home for Christmas and Jesus, His Savior, has said to him, Well done, my good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Master. May God be glorified through the life and testimony of Charlie, His faithful servant. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017, at Cornerstone Church of Skippack, 1326 Stumphall Rd., Skippack, PA 19474: 10am - Receiving of friends and relativies 11am - Memorial Service 12pm - Luncheon
