Charles W. Vogt passed away peacefully on Friday, August 20, 2010, surrounded by his loving children at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 91. Mr. Vogt worked as a foreman for the former ITE Co. in Philadelphia, PA. He was a member of Valley Forge Presbyterian Church in King of Prussia, PA. Charles was also a member of the American Legion Post 925 and St. Alban Lodge No. 529 Free and Accepted Masons, both in Philadelphia, PA.Mr. Vogt was a US Army veteran of WW II, serving from 1944 to 1946, as a medic in the Pacific Theatre of Operations.Born in Philadelphia, PA on September 5, 1918, he was a son of the late Charles and Lillian (Jackson) Vogt. He was the husband of the late Marjorie L. (Zimmerman) Vogt, who died in 1988. Surviving are his loving family including a son, Scot C. Vogt of Hightstown, NJ and a daughter, Lynn C. Vogt of Norristown, PA; and a niece. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Eleanor Bennett, Virginia O'Hara and Marion Vogt. Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service at Valley Forge Presbyterian Church, 191 Town Center Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Charles' memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
