Chris A. George

Chris A. George, 73, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Chris was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He was the owner and president of Overbrook Tile Company, Inc., previously based in Bridgeport, PA, and Philadelphia, PA. Chris enjoyed playing golf and was a longtime member of Hershey's Mill Golf Club in West Chester, PA. As an avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed following the Philadelphia Phillies and the PGA Tour. A lover of music, he received his Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Susquehanna University in 1973. In his later years, he relished spending time with his grandchildren and his granddogs.

Born on August 10, 1951 in West Chester, Pa, he was the son of the late William R. and Marion I. (Dunkelberger) George.

Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 51 years, June M. (Belletti) George; a son, David C. George and his wife, Clare of Wayne, PA; a daughter, Melissa J. Hoffer and her husband, James of Pottstown, PA; 2 grandchildren, Madelyn and Tyler Hoffer; a sister, Jennifer Maybin and her husband, Howard; and many other loving family members and friends.

Chris’s family will receive relatives and friends in the Patriot’s Hall Annex located in the Washington Memorial Chapel, Rt. 23 in Valley Forge Park, on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 9:00am to 10:00am, followed by his Funeral Service at 10:00am in the Chapel. Inurnment will follow in the Washington Memorial Chapel Cemetery.
