Christina M. Buttaro

Christina M. (Matteoli) Buttaro passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at her residence in Trooper, PA. She was 96. Mrs. Buttaro was a member of Visitation B.V.M. Church in Trooper. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking and gardening. Most of all, Christina loved spending time with her family. Born in Bridgeport, PA on February 20, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Terpolli) Matteoli. She was the wife of the late Emilio E. “Mil” Buttaro, who died in 2002. Surviving is her loving family including two sons, Frank Buttaro and his wife, Rose, of Norristown, PA and Emilio Richard "Rich" Buttaro and his wife, Diane, of Broomall, PA; a daughter, Patricia Pizza of Trooper, PA; six grandchildren: Joseph (Janine) Pizza, Robert (Amy) Blessing, Renee (Matthew) Makoid, Kristina (David) Pengelly, Christopher Buttaro and Denise (Joseph) Byrnes; and nine great-grandchildren: Joseph & Gianna Pizza, Matthew & Alexis Makoid, Mia & Karmen DiPhillippo, Nicholas & Anthony Blessing and Kaleigh Byrnes. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Justina Blessing; a brother, John Matteoli; and three sisters: Lena Melchiorre, Catherine Trapani and Eleanor Tuturice. Relatives & friends are invited to Christina’s Funeral Mass at Visitation B.V.M. Church, 196 N. Trooper Rd., Trooper, PA on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 8:00 pm. Her viewing is Wednesday from 6 to 7:50 pm, at the church. Entombment will be private in St. Patrick's Cemetery Mausoleum, E. Norriton Twp., PA.
