Clorinda Giangiulio

August 1, 1926 — September 9, 2025

Clorinda Giangiulio (DiFilippo) of Bridgeport, Pa. passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 9, 2025 at The Hearth at Drexel in Bala Cynwyd, PA. She was 99 years old. Clorinda was a longtime resident of Bridgeport, PA and a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and Sacred Heart Church. She worked for many years as a seamstress for J.F. Freedman & Co.

Born in Palombaro, Provence of Chieti, Italy on August 1, 1926, she was a daughter of Domenico and Domenica (Falcone) DiFilippo. Clorinda was also the beloved wife of 57 years to Vincenzo Giangiulio before his passing in 2002.

Clorinda and Vincenzo emigrated to the United States of America in 1953 along with their son and they settled in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania. Clorinda’s faith and family were very important to her. Clorinda was active in OLMC, as a member of the Sodality, and part of the church cleaning group. As a volunteer she was part of the yearly Grande Festa Italiano preparing food behind the scenes, and working in the pizza fritta stand. Clorinda also enjoyed planting a vegetable garden, sharing the bounty of the tomato season and other vegetables with her friends and family. She also liked knitting, embroidery, and baking.

Surviving is her loving family including her son Enrico A. Giangiulio (Linda Pizzi) of King of Prussia, PA; her daughter Mary J. Breithaupt (Carl) of Ardmore, PA; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Pelleg (Ben), Vincent Giangiulio (Allison) and Gabriella Berman (Jordan); 4 great grandchildren Maya Pelleg, Abigail Pelleg, Isaac Berman, and Nathaniel Berman; as well as many other extended family members and friends.

Clorinda is preceded in death by her sister Carmella Capasso (DiFillipo), and her brother Dominic DiFilippo.
