Colletta Jean Gerstemeier

Colletta Jean “Oma” (Huber) Gerstemeier passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Suburban Community Hospital in E. Norriton, PA. She was 75. Mrs. Gerstemeier was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. She graduated from Lansdowne Aldan High School in 1958 and attended West Chester University. She worked as a teacher at The Woodlynde School. Jean was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia. She coached volleyball, officiated field hockey and lacrosse, and taught adult fitness classes. She was a runner who qualified for the Olympic trials. Jean enjoyed traveling and was the organizer of many events for family and friends. Born in Philadelphia, PA on December 24, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Edward P. and Florence R. (Lang) Huber. Surviving is her loving family including her husband of 56 years, William R. "Gus" Gerstemeier; a son, Wm. Todd Gerstemeier of Harleysville, PA; two daughters, Tamara J. Sweeney of Linfield, PA and Colletta L. Roberts of King of Prussia, PA; seven grandchildren; a sister, Maria D. Summy and her husband, Albert, of Naples, FL; two nephews and four nieces. Jean’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 11:00 am. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:50 am, at the church. Interment will be private.
