Cornelia Connie Sullivan

Mary Cornelia “Connie” (Brinkerhoff) Sullivan passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at Brandywine Senior Living in Norristown, PA. She was 98. Mrs. Sullivan was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Mary Grove College in Detroit, MI and was a teacher in Michigan and Nebraska. Connie was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia and was active with the Catholic Charities. She was a member of the 59ers Senior Group in King of Prussia, PA. Connie enjoyed gardening, sewing and playing Bridge. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to visit European castles. Connie loved to dance and was a big Lawrence Welk fan. She loved her grandchildren and just a couple of weeks ago, she got to hold her newborn great-grand-daughter, Amelia. Born in Detroit, MI on October 23, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Verne W. and Anna M. (Ralston) Brinkerhoff. She was the wife of the late George L. Sullivan, who died in 1977. Surviving is her loving family including three sons: Christopher P. Sullivan and his wife, Linda, of Pottstown, PA, Michael P. Sullivan of Warrington, PA and Lawrence G. Sullivan of Eagleville, PA; a daughter, Penelope S. Woolley of Washington, DC; five grandchildren: Catherine, Kevin, Brittany, Rachel and Adam; a great-granddaughter, Amelia Rose; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon "Sherrie" T. Sullivan, a brother, John Brinkerhoff and a sister, Jane B. Delahanty. Relatives & friends are invited to Connie’s Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd. King of Prussia, PA on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:30 am. Interment will be private in West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Connie’s memory to the Maryknoll Sisters, P.O.
