Craig Hannon Barker of Swampscott, MA passed away peacefully on the morning of November 27th, 2021 in his childhood home in Wilmington, DE. Craig was born in Wilmington on October 26th, 1995. From an early age Craig had a need for speed and a deep passion for fast cars and diesel trucks, as well as ice hockey which he played all the way through varsity at Concord High School. Craig loved spending summer days pulling his lobster traps off Long Beach in Rockport, MA and when he wasn’t out in the water he could be seen hanging on the beach with his family and friends. Craig enjoyed being on the ocean so much he made it his career and worked in Marblehead, MA for Ribcraft USA where he built professional grade inflatable boats for the US Navy. Growing up as the third of four children, Craig learned at a very early age how to get along with anybody and always kept a very cool demeanor no matter what the situation was. Aside from being extremely easy going, he was a very loving boy and always had a deep compassion for everybody around him. Craig’s constant love and compassion were on full display when he would play with his and his brother’s dog on the beach in Swampscott. Craig is preceded by his grandmother, Marion Hannon of WIlmington, DE and his aunt, Beth Hannon of Philadelphia, PA who he loved exploring Philadelphia with. Craig was an amazing son, brother, nephew, uncle, friend and roommate. Craig is survived by his parents, Carl and Patricia of Wilmington, DE, his older brother, Shawn of Swampscott, MA who he lived with, his older sister, Shailagh her fiance Shane, his baby nephew Hunter who he loved deeply of Kunkletown, PA and his younger brother Patrick of Wilmington, DE. He is also survived by his grandfather, Leo F. Hannon of Wilmington, DE who he had a very special bond with, as well as his aunt, Jane Hannon of Washington D.C. and his uncle and aunt, James and Debra Hannon and his four cousins of Allentown, NJ. On Craig’s paternal side he is survived by his grandfather, Carl E. Barker of Wilmington, DE, his grandmother Sandy Barker of Milton, DE and his aunt Valerie Barker of Dover, DE. A viewing will be held Friday December 3rd at 9:00 AM - 10:45 AM at St. Joseph’s on the Brandywine followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM with burial right after in the adjoining cemetery at 10 Old Church Rd, Greenville, DE, 19807.
