Cynthia A. DeMitis

Cynthia A. (McDowell) DeMitis, a loving wife, mother, and Nana, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, with her husband by her side, at Brandywine Assisted Living in Phoenixville, PA. She was 71. Cindy was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. She was an active member of the former Our Mother of Sorrows Church and was also a member of the former St. Augustine Church, both in Bridgeport, PA. Cindy worked as a Medical Billing Specialist and retired in 2023 from King of Prussia Physical Therapy and Sports Injury Center. Cindy enjoyed cooking, shopping with QVC, going to craft shows with her daughter, traveling to Ocean City and Cape May and she especially loved spending time at their shore home in NJ.

Born in Norristown, PA she was the daughter of the late Willard D. “Mike” and Mary D. (Kurcik) McDowell. Surviving is her husband of 50 years, Dennis A. DeMitis; a daughter, Shannon D. (Bill) Leahy; a grandson, Jeremy Francis McNamara; a sister, Cheryl M. (Ken) Fontana; 3 nephews, 1 niece, and many cousins and friends.

 A Memorial Service is planned for a future date.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cynthia’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
