David Alan Sawyer

David Alan Sawyer passed away peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2023, at his residence in Pottstown, PA. He was 69. David was a United States Navy veteran and received an honorable discharge after ten years of service. David spent the remainder of his career in Client Services. He enjoyed traveling, going to the mountains, horticulture, pottery in his younger years, and especially loved his dogs.

Born in Latrobe, PA on August 1, 1954, he was the son of Mary Esther (Welshons) and Charles F. Sawyer, Jr.

Surviving is his loving family including his husband, John D. Roberts; a step-daughter, Jessica Roberts (Dustin MacKenzie); 2 step-sons, Ian D. Roberts and Aaron Roberts; a sister, Ruth Wantuck (John); and many other loving family and friends.

We would like to give a special thank you to Accent Care, whom took excellent care of David during his final days.

David’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 10- 10:50am, with his Memorial Service starting at 11:00am. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Norristown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David’s memory to the Charles F. Sawyer Jr and Mary Esther Sawyer Foundation, 630 Freedom Business Center Dr., King of Prussia Pa. 19464.
