David Kennerly, Jr.

David Kennerly, Jr age 78, of Wyndmoor, PA. passed away suddenly, April 13, 2025 at Abington Hospital Jefferson Health in Abington PA.

David was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 27, 1946 to the late Inez (Wright) and David Kennerly, Sr. David served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1967 during the Vietnam War. David continued his service in the public sector as a law enforcement officer with the Santa Barbara, California, and the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania police departments.

Seeking and acquiring knowledge was foremost in his life. He was educated in the Philadelphia public school system and graduated from the Ben Franklin High School for Boys. He received an Associate in Science degree from the Santa Barbara City College, Santa Barbara, California, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York, College of Oswego. Also, certificates of accomplishment from Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, New York, in computer software and the Xerox Corporation as a printer/copier technician.

David is survived by his sister, Theresa Kennerly, son, Jeffrey Kennerly, daughter, Amanda Kennerly, and grandchildren.

Services for David will be private at the convenience of the family.
