David I Light

David I. Light passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 22, 2011 at Mercy Suburban Hospital in E. Norriton, PA. He was 89. David was a resident of Jeffersonville, PA. He worked as a carpenter out of the Carpenters Union Local 1595 in Norristown, PA. Mr. Light was a Merchant Marine during WWII. Born in E. Norriton, PA on July 7, 1921, he was a son of the late Leonard C. and Stella A. (Ream) Light. David is survived by his loving family including his wife, Mary E. (Jones) Light; a son, Jeffrey P. Light of Nashville, Tenn; 3 step-children: Barbara Batson and her husband, Allen of Rixeyville, VA, Mary E. Miller of Elizabethtown, NJ and LeRoy M. Hartshaw of Washington DC; five step-grandchildren: Rebecca, Jacob and Ryan Batson and Jonathan and David Brill; and many nephews and nieces. David was preceded in death by three brothers: Bennami, James and William Light; and a sister, Ethel May Smith. Relatives and friends are invited to David's Graveside Service at Riverside Cemetery, 200 S. Montgomery Ave., W. Norriton, PA 19403 on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 1pm.
