David O'Brien Smith

David O'Brien Smith, of King of Prussia, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. He was 68. Beloved husband of Lynne Gold-Bikin. David was a kind, funny, generous man who served his country in Vietnam with the US Air Force. Through exposure to Agent Orange, he suffered with Parkinson's Disease the last 11 years of his life. David was a poet who published two books of poetry, Random Rhymes and Random Rhymes II, of which he was very proud. He coached football at Cardinal O'Hara and played semi-pro football until he was 32. He will be missed by his family and many friends. Relatives and friends are invited to David's viewing at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Road, King of Prussia, PA on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 9:00 to 10:20 am. His Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David's memory to Wounded Warriors, P.O. Box 96860, Washington, DC 20077-7677.
