David B. Weaver, Jr.

David B. Weaver, Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the Meadows at Shannondell in Lower Providence Twp., PA. He was 80. Mr. Weaver was a resident of Audubon, PA. He worked as an accountant and auditor for the Romhm & Haas Co. in Philadelphia, PA, until his retirement in 1992. Mr. Weaver was a member of the Lafayette Lodge #199 F. & A.M., and the BPOE (Elks), both in Locke Haven, PA. David was also a life member of Delta Sigma Pi and Beta Gamma Sigma-Academic Honorary Society. Mr. Weaver was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving as a 2nd lieutenant from 1952 to 1953.Born in Lock Haven, PA on February 23, 1929, he was a son of the late David B. Weaver, Sr. and Minnie M. (Dietz) Weaver. Surviving is his loving wife of 50 years, Phoebe L. (Locke) Weaver; sister-in-law, Teresa Locke; 2 nephews, Lee and Bill Locke; 2 great-nephews, David Myers and Adam Locke; and a niece, Kim Myers.Funeral services and interment will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery County SPCA, 19 E.
