Deborah D. Brown (Debbie), 74, of Sea Isle City, NJ, formerly of Glenside, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Jeanes Hospital.
Debbie was the daughter of Joseph and Marie Dean (nee Faust) of Roslyn, PA.
Debbie was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School. She went on to receive a Master of Arts Degree, Cum Laude, in Music Education and Religious Studies from Lasalle University.
Debbie was a former member of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish in Glenside, where she spent many years as a liturgist, directed the youth choral group, taught music and music liturgy, coached CYO basketball and softball, and was a long-time member of the guitar group.
Debbie then started working at Immaculate Conception Parish in Jenkintown where she was the Director of Religious Education and then became their Pastoral Associate. Debbie was involved in many aspects of the church and community. Always there for everyone in any capacity she could be of service. Whether it was visiting residents in nursing homes, those home-bound or in hospitals, or coordinating funeral liturgies with families. Debbie was someone you could count on just to be there
Debbie was an avid sports fan. Whether it was playing or coaching any of the many sports she was involved in over the years or cheering on her Phillies, Eagles or Union teams. In more recent years, she volunteered with the Special Olympics in South Jersey. She loved spending her retirement in Sea Isle. And mostly spending time with her friends and family. She was loved by many.
Debbie was proceeded in death by her son Danny; Brother Greg; and niece Maureen.
She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Bodamer (Augie Binder), of Abington, PA, twin sister Donna Dean, of Hatfield, PA, grandson Jeremiah, granddaughter Adian, a niece, several nephews and grandnieces, and her many cousins.
