Debra J. Hartman

Debra J. Hartman, known by all as “Debbie”, passed away unexpectedly yet surrounded by her loving family on January 8, 2017. Debbie was born in Newark, Ohio on November 20,, 1955. She since resided in Hatfield and Norristown, PA before making the Gilbertsville, PA countryside her home. Debra enjoyed working many years for Highway Materials and made many lasting friendships there. Debbie loved and was a fierce protector of animals, especially dogs. In her later years, she took care of and named numerous cows on the pasture adjacent to her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don Snider and Joan Loux (Vogel). She is survived by her life-long companion, Bill Zimmerman of Gilbertsville, PA; her son, Thomas Grob; two grandchildren, Krysta and James Grob of York, PA; a brother, Gary Snider and wife, Cheryl of Newark Ohio; a sister, Donna Burkhardt and husband, Bill of Mohton, PA; as well as many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Debbie will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know and love her. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at 1:30 pm, on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at the Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 805 DeKalb Street, Bridgeport, PA 19405. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 12 to 1:30 pm. A future Celebration will also be planned in the Spring.
