Della G. (Ritrovato) Woyden

Della G. (Ritrovato) Woyden passed away peacefully on Monday September 4, 2023, at her residence in King of Prussia, PA. She was 100. She was a graduate of Bridgeport High School, Class of 1942. Della was a member of Sacred Heart Church and a former member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, where she was the President of the Mothers Club for many years while her children attended grade school and was an annual feast worker. Della worked in the Food Service Department in the Upper Merion School District, where she helped supervise different lunch programs throughout the district, before retiring in 1992 to become a full time grandma. She enjoyed gardening, had a love for animals, but her greatest joy was her family. Della’s family was her whole world, raising her 3 children and watching her grandchildren grow was her greatest joy.

Born on May 6, 1923, in Bridgeport PA, she was a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Theresa (DeStefano) Ritrovato. Della was the wife of the late Edward L. Woyden Sr., who died in 1979.

Surviving is her loving family including her 2 sons: Edward L. Woyden Jr. (Summer), of Collegeville, PA., and John Woyden (Deborah) of Fort Myers, Florida; 5 Grandchildren: Christa Cail (Brandon), Eric Woyden, Michael Woyden, Maria Woyden, and David Woyden; 1 great-grandson: Brody John Cail; 2 brothers, Salvatore Ritrovato and Louis (Emilie) Ritrovato; a sister in-law, Pearl Ritrovato; and many other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia A. Woyden; 3 brothers, Nicholas, Richard, and Charles Ritrovato; and a sister, Antoinette Ritrovato and two sister-in-laws, Kathleen and Maxine Ritrovato.

Relatives and friends are invited to Della’s viewing at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202) Bridgeport PA, on Monday, September 11, 2023, from 6:00-8:00pm and also Tuesday morning, at Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson St. Bridgeport, PA, from 9:30-10:15am, with her Funeral Mass starting at 10:30am. Interment will be at St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.
