Derry Franz

Derry Franz passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 16, 2021. He was 83. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son to the Late Marion (McCorkindale) and Henry Franz III. Derry graduated from Germantown Academy in 1956. Derry was a longtime resident of the Hidden Spring Community in Souderton, PA for nearly 30 years. He also served in the Coast Guard and was stationed in Cape May, NJ. Derry had a love for cars and spent most of his adult career in the Car Sales industry. He was also an avid watcher and fan of the hometown Phillies, Flyers and anything Golf. Derry was married for 38 years to the late Betty J Franz (2011). They were longtime residents of Chalfont, PA before moving to the Hidden Spring Community in Souderton, PA. Derry is survived by his Stepchildren, Sharon (Hesston, PA) and Susan Alderfer-Mahon (Souderton); the late Thomas F Keen, the late Jeffrey A Moyer, and several Step Grandchildren; brother to the late David Franz and late Henry Franz IV. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nursing staff at Doylestown Hospital for their loving care of Derry. A private family memorial will be held. Services entrusted to the Walter J.
