Diane P. Varady

Diane P. (Ritrovato) Varady died peacefully on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at her home. She was a resident of Bridgeport for over 68 years and graduated from Upper Merion High School, Class of 1971. Diane was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport. She worked for Transamerica for 35 years before retiring in 2020. Diane enjoyed swimming, dancing, listening to music, and trips to the Poconos where she spent time in the water and with her family. She also enjoyed trips to the casinos with her family and friends, locally and in Las Vegas. Diane had a love of the outdoors where she spent time camping with her family over the years during which she loved attending Crash Up Derbies, Halloween events, and just simply relaxing around the fire. Most of all, she treasured her time with her family and friends but especially her grandchildren that she adored. She got to read books to them, play games, watch them at their sporting events and countless other activities.

Born in Bridgeport, PA on November 12, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Richard E. and Maxine E. (Wittlock) Ritrovato. Surviving is her loving family including a daughter, Jennifer Varady of Bridgeport, PA; a son, Kenneth (Lori) Varady of Wilmington, DE; six grandchildren: Vernon, Rochelle (Mike), Nathan, Parker, Amelia and Addison; two sisters, Theresa A. (late Matt) Pierce of Greentown, PA and Nancy (Chris) Mucchetti of Norristown, PA; and many other loving family members.

Family will receive relatives and friends at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd, 805 DeKalb St., (Rt 202) Bridgeport, PA on Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 9:00am to 10:50am, with her Prayer Service starting at 11:00am. Inurnment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia.
