Dolores "Jean" (Costello) Lasorsa passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in E. Norriton, PA. Jean lost her 6 week battle recovering from heart valve surgery on July 27th. She was 81 and a resident of King of Prussia, PA. Mrs. Lasorsa graduated from John W. Hallahan High School, Class of 1951. She worked as an administrative assistant for the General Electric Aerospace Center in King of Prussia. She was a member of St. Augustine R.C. Church in Bridgeport, PA and the Miraculous Medal Society. A devout Catholic and devoted follower of the Blessed Mother, she had an amazing spirit and was always pleasant, even though she suffered most of her adult life from chronic back pain. Jean was a talented interior designer and had an eye for fashion. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Born in Philadelphia, PA on January 19, 1932, she was a daughter of the late William and Rose Anne (McGroarty) Costello. She was the wife of the late Nicholas "Nick" Lasorsa, who died in 2008. Surviving is her loving family including two sons, Nicholas Lasorsa and his wife, JoAnn, of Arvada CO and Michael Lasorsa and his wife, Peggy, of King of Prussia, PA: two daughters, Theresa Santangelo and her partner, JoAnne Noble, of North Coventry, PA and Lorraine Ford and her husband, Patrick, of Chalfont, PA; six grandchildren: Ryan, Kylie, Connor and Casey Ford, and Michael and Mark Moffett; two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Allie Moffett; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by three brothers: John, William and Robert Costello; and a sister, Rose Hanna. Jean's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine R. C. Church, 464 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 12 noon. Officiating will be the Rev. James P. Lyons, Parochial Administrator. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8pm, at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Route 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.
