Dolores S. Pastva

Dolores S. Pastva, age 87, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on July 28, 2024 after a heroic battle with Alzheimers. Dolores was born August 2, 1936 in Conshohocken, PA. to the late James and Florence (Levandowski) Sands.

Dolores is survived by her five children, Sharon Martin (Craig), Sandy Stiles (Craig), Debbie DiIanni, Theodore J. Pastva Jr. (Nancy) and Lisa P. Johnson (Kurt), 13 grandchildren: Lauren, Christopher, Allie, Cheryl, Amy, Danielle, Alycia, Corrine, Alexa, Emily, Teddy, Kyle & Riley and 15 great-grandchildren.

Dolores was predeceased by her husband Theodore J. Pastva, her grandson Austin DiIanni and her brother James Sands.

Dolores attended St. Mathew’s Catholic School in Coshohocken. Dolores always loved children and chose a career in teaching. Dolores graduated from Millersville University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and went on to receive her Masters in Education. Dolores taught for the Norristown Area School District for over twenty-five years primarily as a Kindergarten teacher at Burnside Elementary School in West Norriton. She loved instilling the joy of learning to her students. Dolores was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time at her shore home in Ocean City, New Jersey where she always made sure all were welcome and there was plenty of food. Dolores’s favorite past time was spending time with her family. Dolores will be missed, but her legacy will live on in her children and grandchildren.

The Family would like to express their sincere gratitude and thanks to the wonderful nurses and staff of Elm Terrace Gardens Skilled Nursing Facility and Ascend Hospice for the compassion and love that they showed in caring for Dolores.

Services and interment will be private for the family.
