Dolores "Sissy" Ann Salvo

At the age of 92, Dolores “Sissy” Salvo passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2026 at Providence Place in Collegeville, PA. Dolores was formerly a resident of W. Norriton, PA and a longtime member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Norristown, where she attended daily mass and sang in the choir.

Dolores loved to spend time with her family and was always helpful to others working as a Nanny. She had a silly sense of humor and she loved gardening, visiting yard sales, and doing both jigsaw and word puzzles.

Born in Norristown, PA on November 9, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Neufer) and William F. Henning, Sr. She was also the beloved wife of 70 years to the late Thomas V. “Dunie” Salvo, Jr., who passed away in 2023.

Surviving is her loving family including 7 of her children: Thomas Salvo III of Norristown, PA, Diane (Brian) McCleary of Lower Gwynedd, PA, Michael Salvo of Seattle, WA, Lorraine (Dino) Pellegrin of Collegeville, PA, Kenneth Salvo of Norristown, PA, Roger (Stacy) Salvo of Eagleville, PA, and Mark (Alicia) Salvo of Limerick, PA; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Henning; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by a son, Derek Salvo; and two brothers, William F. Henning, Jr and James Henning.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Dolores’ viewing at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 601 Buttonwood St. Norristown, PA 19401 on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 from 10-11:15am, with her Funeral Mass starting at 11:30am. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dolores' memory to the Alzheimer’s Association and/or Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
