Donald Allen Barrie

Donald Allen Barrie age 89, passed away on June 26, 2023 in King of Prussia, Pa. He was born in Worcester, MA on September 26, 1933 to the late William Barrie and Elizabeth Crann.

Donald is survived by his son, Glenn Barrie; grandchildren, Gillian Barrie and Cameron Barrie; brother, Wallace Barrie.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan E. Barrie; brother, Gordon Barrie.

For 42 years, Donald operated Barrie Ironworks located in Philadelphia, PA. While much of his work was residential, other notable projects include the Viewing Stands along Boathouse Row, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Corinthian Yacht Club of Cape May as well as Chestnut Hill Academy among others. He enjoyed golfing, skiing and sailing as well as fishing off the jetties down the Shore.

Family and Friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 9:30 am – 10:30 am with a service immediately following at Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home, 101 N. Park Ave, Trooper, Pa 19403. Interment will be private.
