Donald J. Genther

Donald J. Genther passed away peacefully on Monday, August 10, 2009, surrounded by his loving family at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 84. Mr. Genther worked as a salesman for the natural gases industry. He was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA. Donald was a graduate of the former Bridgeport High School, Class of 1942. He was an avid golfer. Mr. Genther was a US Navy veteran of WW II, serving from 1942 to 1946 in the Pacific Theatre of Operations. Born in Bridgeport, PA on October 6, 1924, he was a son of the late Raymond and Agnes (Quirk) Genther. He was the husband of the late Mildred D. (Ross) Genther, who died in 1999. Surviving are his loving family including a son, Donald J. Genther, Jr. of King of Prussia, PA; a daughter, Nan Genther of Fort Thomas, Kentucky; two sisters, Dolores Aylward of Rockford, IL and Joyce Brzoska and her husband, Thomas; his companion, Joanne (Evangelist) Genther; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Robert, John and Charles "Moe" Genther; and a sister, Elizabeth O'Connell. Relatives & friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 10:00am. Officiating will be the Rev. Msgr. John T. Conway, Pastor. Friends may call on Friday morning from 9 to 9:50am, at the church. Interment in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Donald's memory to Neighborhood Hospice, 400 E.
